Having had a chat with you at the recent Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh, about the motorcycle built for me when I was a wee lad, here’s a pic of me, my dad Robbie and uncles Jim and Vic at a scramble.
I got quite excited about getting the little cut down NSU Quickly sorted. So much so, that I’ve spoken to Colin Craig at Loch Ness Restorations and, given the history of the bike and unique nature of the project, he’s keen to take it on. I’m dropping the bike off on Thursday, along with an old NSU moped my dad had obtained to use for parts. Colin is happy to update you direct with progress if it’s still something you’re interested in. I’ll do some digging regarding more history on the bike.
Robbie that is fantastic and an insight into the scene in the Seventies when we were… not as we are now. These days the school-person scene is well catered for and how many people would go to the extent of building such a machine these days? – Ed
