… so much so that to enthusiasts far and wide the Carole Nash-backed classic shows at the Staffordshire County Showground are referred to as ‘Stafford’, secure in the knowledge that fellow enthusiasts will know which show is being referred to.

A little bit of personal indulgence here as it isn’t just dirt bikes that float the editor’s boat… this 1930 1200cc Model V caught his eye and looks just the thing for the long open roads of the USA. Maybe a lottery win is needed…
