Fitting tribute to Dr Rod - Video
By: Web Editor
Around 200 motorcycles rode in convoy across the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds, from the late Rod Gibson’s home village of Tetford, to the National Youthbike finals near Lincoln, in the first Rod Gibson Charity Memorial Rideout.
In a fitting tribute to Rod riders, and his readers from his days as editor of Classic Mechanics magazine, travelled from as far afield as Norwich, Stoke on Trent and Derby to take part. The two charities which will benefit from the ride are National Youthbike and the National Association for Bikers with Disabilities, both of which Rod supported.

First ride out I have had in a group and really enjoyed it, weather lovely and hot with a good selection of classic and newer bikes. On leaving from the White Hart pub in Tetford it was great to here all the bikes leave and ride to Mortons. Though the only snag we had was the split into 2 groups on leaving Morton Media car park. Well done to the Wold bikers for directions all the way to Leadenham.
Looking forward to the next ride out.

A great tribute to a great man. It was a privilege to know him and be a part of the ride out.
