Editor's Intro
Blinking ’eck
17 November 2011
Okay, who’s pinched 2011? Come on, somebody must have had it away while I wasn’t looking?
Anno Domini
18 August 2011.
The face that looks back at me every morning as I shave in the bathroom before leaving the house is the same as it always was.
Mr Angry
19 May 2011.
I happened to catch the afternoon show on Radio 2 the other day and I don’t think I’m alone in remembering when the presenter, Steve Wright, used to be on Radio 1.
A pint pot
17 February 2011.
There’s a saying which goes ‘squeezing a quart into a pint pot’ or, in metrication ‘squeezing litre into a half litre pot’ though that doesn’t sound quite so snappy.
Times gone by
18 November 2010.
If you’re of an age with the editor – 50 in case you were wondering – then you’ll remember the 70s… of course you do, it’s recalling what we did yesterday and the day before where the problems come. Anyway, it’s a reasonable guess that you’ll recall the trail bike boom back then when the Japanese manufacturers churned out thousands of good looking trail/enduro bikes for the mass market.
A bit on the side
19 August 2010.
I had the chance to talk to Ron Langston recently, at the British Bike Bonanza in Gloucestershire, where he was guest of honour.
We prefer to call it ‘focused’
20 May 2010.
How often have you been busy in the workshop, doing a spot of fettling and got so into it that the line between focused and pedant became a bit blurred? Yes, I can almost feel the whole off-road world nodding their heads as the memory cells kick up their own personal line-blurring.
