Good company, good scenery and at the end excellent food and wine… welcome to the Burgundy Two Day Trophy.

The region of Beaune and Nuits-Saint Georges is famous all over the world (well almost) for the exceptional quality of its wines.

What a place for a pic eh? Riders in the 2016 Burgundy Two Day Trophy.

The vines are planted on the slopes exposed to the sun and you can reach them by stony trails, whereas at the top of the hills you go through sheltered shady paths in the woody undergrowth.

The Burgundy Classic team, who are all mad about classic motorbikes, had the idea of letting other classic motorbike enthusiasts get a taste for their region. The aim of the weekend is to allow not only French enthusiasts but also Italian and British to get together.

Unfortunately, our transalpine friends were not able to come for the 2016 edition… but they’ll make up for it in the 2017 one.

The course, which covers a variety of terrain and is reminiscent of the Sixties events, means everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves whatever their machine or technical level.
